Pew Research Center administered a 32-question Religious Knowledge Survey to 3,412 Americans in 2010, testing knowledge across world religions with specific sections on the Bible and Christianity.
On the seven Bible questions, Mormons answered an average of 5.7 correctly — Pew's exact words: "Overall, Mormons score best on these items."
On the broader 12-question Christianity scale (combining Bible knowledge with other Christian knowledge questions), Mormons again scored best with an average of 7.9 correct. Evangelical Protestants were next at 7.3.
