73% of LDS Members Pray Every Day — While 32% of Americans Almost Never Do

73% daily prayer. Only 7% seldom/never pray vs 32% of all U.S. adults.

According to the 2023-24 Pew Religious Landscape Study, 73% of Latter-day Saints pray daily — matching Evangelicals (72%) and Historically Black Protestants (72%), and nearly doubling the national average of 44%.

Only 7% of LDS members seldom or never pray, compared to 32% of all U.S. adults. The 25-point gap between LDS and the national non-prayer rate reflects a theology where daily personal prayer is a foundational practice, not an occasional observance.
