LDS Members Say Grace More Than Any Other American Religious Group

The 2023-24 Pew Religious Landscape Study found that 68% of Latter-day Saints always or often pray before meals — ahead of Historically Black Protestants at 67%, Evangelical Protestants at 58%, and Muslim Americans at 54%.

Saying grace before meals is a daily behavioral indicator of how deeply religious practice integrates into everyday life. LDS theology does not stay in the Sunday meeting — it shows up at the dinner table.
