LDS Same-Faith Marriages: 13% Divorce in 5 Years. Interfaith: 40%.

13% divorce within 5 years (same-faith) vs 40% (interfaith)

Research published in BYU Studies found that LDS-to-LDS marriages that divorce within five years sit at 13%. When an LDS member marries outside the faith, that rate rises to 40%.

The threefold difference suggests that shared religious commitment is a significant factor in marital stability for LDS couples.
