79% of LDS Members Say Religion Is Very Important in Their Daily Lives

79% 'very important.' Evangelicals: 74%. All Christians: 51%. National: 42%.

According to Pew's 2023-24 Religious Landscape Study, 79% of LDS members say religion is "very important" in their daily lives — higher than Evangelical Protestants (74%), all Christians combined (51%), and the national average of 42%.

The 37-point gap between LDS members and the national average on daily importance of religion reflects a theology that permeates weekday life, not just Sunday worship.
