The LDS Church operates one of the most comprehensive self-reliance programs of any religious organization. In 2015 alone, the program helped start or improve 67,000 businesses, enrolled 22,000 people in training, and facilitated 14,000 new or improved jobs.
The program operates in 69 countries across four 12-week tracks: business, job search, education, and personal finances. The Bishop's Storehouse and welfare system provide a comprehensive safety net for members in need.
