The LDS Church now has 382 temples worldwide (202 dedicated, the remainder under construction or announced). On November 10, 2024, President Russell M. Nelson dedicated the 200th operating temple — the Deseret Peak Utah Temple.
Since becoming Church President in January 2018, Nelson has announced 200 new temples — more than half of all temples in Church history. The 153rd Nelson-era temple was announced in April 2024; by April 2025 the count had grown to 200.
Temples are the highest expression of LDS worship — where families are sealed for eternity and sacred covenants are made. The pace of temple growth under President Nelson is unprecedented in Church history.
