LDS Members Spend 115 Minutes Per Church Visit — Nearly Double Catholics

115 minutes per visit vs ~60 minutes for Catholics

GPS cell phone data from the University of Chicago study (2.1 million smartphones) measured not only whether people attend church, but how long they stay.

LDS members averaged 115 minutes per visit — nearly double the approximately 60 minutes recorded for Catholics. The extended time reflects the LDS Sunday meeting structure, which typically includes sacrament meeting, Sunday School, and additional classes.
