60%+ of LDS Young Adults Attend Church Weekly — vs 22% of Non-LDS Peers

60%+ weekly attendance ages 18-25 vs 22% non-LDS. 85% say faith is important vs 54%.

Data from the Cooperative Election Study and Pew's 2024 survey, analyzed by BYU researcher Justin Dyer, found that 60%+ of LDS young adults (ages 18-25) attend church weekly — compared to 22% of non-LDS peers in the same age range.

85% of LDS young adults say faith is important to them, versus 54% of non-LDS young adults. Only 7% of LDS young adults say religion is "not at all important," compared to 27% of their non-LDS peers. While most American religious groups are losing young people, LDS young adult engagement remains well above the national trend.
